Ewan's floor is higher than most careers' ceilings. His bottom 8 still includes a Jedi, a cassock and a clone. Here's the countdown.

Number one made nearly half a billion dollars and still sits dead last.

  1. 8Big Fish poster
    Big Fish (2003)7.2
His 'worst' list opens with a 7.2. Rough life.
Tim Burton's tall tale has an IMDb 7.9 from 481,301 voters. Metacritic's 58 is the only grump at the party, and it's grumping at the sugar.
  2. 7Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith poster
Best prequel by a mile. The dialogue never got the memo.
$905.6M worldwide, an A− CinemaScore, and critics and audiences both beat 69% of movies. Nobody argues about the score. Everybody argues about the lines.
  3. 6Doctor Sleep poster
    Doctor Sleep (2019)7.0
Smart Shining sequel that ticket buyers left on the porch.
Mike Flanagan's 7.0 pulled just $31.6M domestic on a reported $45 to 55M budget. Metacritic's 59 says it plays a little too careful with its famous dad.
  4. 5The End of Oak Street poster
Critics loved it, audiences shrugged. Average is the honest middle.
86% on Rotten Tomatoes, but audiences beat just 41% of movies. $121.6M worldwide against a reported $80 to 92M budget is not party math.
  5. 4Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones poster
Worse than Phantom Menace. Yes, worse. Fight me.
The Guru's Take is 4.3, below Episode I's 4.9. A romance this stiff should come with a sand warning. Still banked $653.8M worldwide.
  6. 3Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace poster
Billion-dollar movie where Ewan plays second fiddle to Liam Neeson.
$1.05B worldwide, a 5.0 score, 54% on Rotten Tomatoes. Ewan's billed behind Neeson and is still the most watchable thing near a trade dispute.
  7. 2The Island poster
    The Island (2005)4.5
Michael Bay's clone chase is way more fun than 4.5.
Critics beat only 28% of movies, but IMDb gives it 6.8 and the Guru's Take is 5.3. $35.8M domestic on a reported $126M budget hurt more than the explosions.
  8. 1Angels & Demons poster
    Angels & Demons (2009)4.3
His lowest score, and honestly, a perfectly good airport thriller.
4.3 is his floor, yet it made $485.9M worldwide with a B+ CinemaScore. Ewan in a cassock next to Tom Hanks deserves better than 36% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Change my mind. Rank these from most to least rewatchable. Wrong answers only.

$611.83 says someone defends Attack of the Clones in the comments before anyone mentions Big Fish.
